So the other day i looked at my truck in the driveway with less than 100 miles on the clock and noticed a little lean in the passenger rear. Measurements show the passenger side was about 1.5" lower than driver rear at the wheel well hub to flare. I've measured it a few times since and it almost always shows 1 to 1.5" low depending on the fuel state. I just filled up and I'm at 1" low now. I've yet to run it below half tank but I imagine it would push 2+ inches. Dealer said to bring it in and have it checked out but I haven't had a chance. I though I read somewhere that the leaf springs on the driver side are over arched to compensate for the fuel tank weight. If that is true I'm thinking it will settle to even. Has anyone else had any experience with this or know anything about it?

I would take it in. My pre lift measurements were as below, with about half a tank of gas. Truck had 19K miles when I measured.

    FD: 20 1/2"
    FP: 20 3/4"
    RD: 21 1/4"
    RP: 21 1/4"

Thanks. I'm at 20 1/2 passenger rear and 21 1/2 driver rear. I was about 1/4" higher on both sides prior to the cap.

Looks like your driveway is sloped so you’re not parked on a level plain. My taco leans like a sumo wrestler is in the back seat on certain areas where I park but unnoticeable on a level surface other than the typical taco lean which is around .5 “ for me
Also you have a topper and that added weight will effect your suspension.
My friend put bilstein 5100’s in the rear after he added his cap and all was good.

Welcome to TW and congrats on your new Yota

Thanks. I love it! I've measured facing both directions in the driveway as well as on flat ground with similar results. I also measured before and after the cap. I double checked and actually got about 3/4" of squat on both side equally with the cap.

Turns out we have roads where I live so it's actually an "On friggin road" vehicle 98% of the time that happens to be quite off-road capable. Proper suspension geometry and functionality is even more important the more off-road capable a vehicle becomes. My lifted FJ had a lean too, but it also had 165K miles so I didn't really give a shit. This had 77 miles on it when I noticed the lean. That's not OK.

Keep it full of gas or mount a Hi-Lift on the bed on the passenger side :) Keep in mind that people pay for a insert to get rid of their lean and yours is an easy fix!
