East Bay preferred, but don't mind driving to South Bay or Peninsula for a good shop

Believe it or not, Piercey Toyota in Milpitas has a decent service department. I needed an alignment and they were able to book me in for the next day. Dropped it off this morning @ 1130 and it was ready by 3pm. They have an alignment special right now for $109 on their site (be sure to print it out or save it to your phone and take it with you)

    https://www.pierceytoyota.com/service-department/

For the record, there are very few things I would take my truck into the dealer service department for but given my previous alignment issue using a local shop, I wanted the dealership to do it this time. I'll say this - If I need a dealer service department in the future, these folks have my business.

If you head over there, ask for Jazz - pretty cool dude. Tell him the guy with the 02 tacoma who was just in for the alignment sent you and said thanks again

Thanks guys. I am looking for a shop that will let me participate in the process, so I will call around and see if one of these shops can accomodate that. I don't like letting anyone work on my stuff.

I used Firestone in Campbell and bought the lifetime alignment. If you plan on modifying your rig with a lift and aftermarket bumpers, the lifetime alignment easily pays for itself. It only cost around $160. I lifted my rig and got an initial alignment to get it driving better. Then I adjusted my coilovers to the height I wanted since it was hard to measure the height initially with the alignment so far out of whack. After the height adjustment, I went and got another alignment to dial it in because any height adjustment can affect the alignment. When I eventually put some extra weight on the front end with an aftermarket bumper and winch that will sag the suspension a bit and I have a choice of either raising the coilovers to maintain the height I had before the bumper and winch install or go get another alignment. I'll most likely just go get another alignment because I'll be adding extra weight in the back as well and I'll want to maintain the positive rake I currently have with my Sonoran Steel lift.
