Anyone have experience using Dr. ColorChip? Got in a lovely fender bender from some dummy going the wrong way in a parking lot and was able to buff out almost all the scratches/paint transfer. Insurance quoted the repair as a full bumper replacement - figure if I can very lightly touch up an area or two, I can use the insurance money for a bed liner and live with it.

 

It's worse when you're a heat generator and the GF isn't. I like to sleep with a window cracked during the winter and a fleece blanket on the bed. She likes to sleep with the windows closed, a fleece blanket, flannel sheets, and a down comforter.

So we compromise and sleep with the windows closed, a fleece blanket, flannel sheets, and a down comforter.

I just throw it all off and sleep under just the sheet. In my skivvies. And she wears flannel PJ pants and a sweatshirt to bed.

 

Trailer? Most people I see use those tanks for a big ass smoker

 

Seriously, what do all you COLD people set your heat at in the winter?

62° at night while sleeping, 67° in the morning and evening. If the ductless air or wood stove are going thats a different story

 

If we didn't have the baby the house was set a 62-65. Now it's at 70...... but I did replace a door downstairs so we do have some better insulation now

 

70-72 during the day, 68 at night

 

58 at night, 64 in morning and evening...

 

Man, my thermostat in the winter doesn't see above 62. During the day its at 60, nights 62. I turned it up to 65 a few times this winter when we had the REAL cold stretch.

 

You're doing it wrong - window open & you're her electric blanket.

 

The thermostat is programmed for 68 during the day and 62 at night, but it almost never kicks on. The woodstove keeps the house at 70-74 most of the time without too much trouble.

Doesn't work. Trust me, after this long, I've tried just about every possible configuration to sleep with a window open. She lets it fly during the summer, but not the rest of the year.

I have seen a lot of them cut in half, then it's a great big U shape. Perfect for firewood.

 

My wallet sets the T-stat at 66F. My COLD self turns on the electric bed pad to medium. Love the electric bed pad. Not so in love with absolutely NO insulation in the walls, but insulating would take decades to pay for itself.

My t-stat is set at 60. Constantly. If I am going to be sedentary for any length of time, watching a movie or something (rare) I will crank it to 67. But if I am in the house and moving around it never needs to go above 60.

I am just today (thanks to this convo for reminding me) having my oil tank filled for the 3rd time this season and it will get me to Christmas or even January easy.

 

65° when I'm home, 57° when I'm gone during the day, 60° at night. I'm always comfortable, and I can go low during the day because I don't have animals or anything that would get cold.

 

When it's real cold..

 

Cassie has a rocking chair downstairs in front of the woodstove, for the same reason. She's got one in the sun room in front of the cook stove, for Sundays, too.
