:censored: Took way too long to find a picture. The black 1/4 circle looking plate is what I was thinking it was. Different transmissions but you get the idea. This is a r150f.

This wasn't something I could've done without help, or at least preferred it. My plate went around the entire bell housing, that would require separating the transmission. Not something I felt comfortable with alone.

But, the 60k service is complete! All fluids changed and joints lubed. Rotated tars. Torqued a lot of shit. Filters were changed. Need to take a drive and get the trans up to temp and see how she feels.

Fat ass lost about 20-30 lbs, however much this useless garbage weighs. Since I was under the back end, went ahead and adjusted my rear bumper. It was way out of alignment after what it went through in about 10 months time.

Did you know the rear leaf u bolt nuts are only torqued to 37 ft lbs? That's just not acceptable!

Good thing I got better u bolts and hardware when I did my flip. They were well over the factory 37 ft lbs when I put the wrench on em, but still got em to move a bit tighter anyway.
    Just a thought.

I realized, doing this 60k service, that I need a 3/8 torque wrench and not just a 1/2 drive. Didn't have a way of really knowing how tight the front diff plugs got. So I cranked the drain with one hard grunt (48 ft lbs) and the fill with one left-handed grunt (29 ft lbs). I find it odd that, out of all the driveline components, only the front diff uses that goofy 10mm allen key in both the fill/drain plugs

    Meh.
No trailer, nor do I want to haul one for someone else. Maybe one day I'll make my own trailer, but until then, this is off the truck for more clearance and departure angle.

I feel ya. The gram will look way better off-roading than a picture of you hauling a trailer

The rear should use that 10mm allen key plug too tbh. The hex head that's on it is too prone to getting rounded out from dragging over rocks

I've not had any issues with that, yet. I have had to chisel out rocks and dirt from around the plug and its guard, though. Using a trusty flathead screwdriver, because that's their intended use :)

But I can see where you're coming from for sure. If it didn't have that ring around it, guarantee I'd be in world of trouble since my baby stock size tars don't get me much clearance.

That ring certainly does it's job to a point. Glad it's there, but doesn't always save the plug when you're riding the diff all day. I've even seen the plug come loose from rocking back and forth on a rock positioned just perfectly to grab a corner of the plug
