I've talk to DK 4 wheel, the local Jeep shop in my area, he's done some work for me in the past and does good work he but it was obvious he really wasn't interested in working on what I need. He's not really setup for fab work. I'm sure there's a good metal fab shop in the area, just not finding it. If I had more time I'd learn to do most of the work myself.

 

Any luck finding a unit around St. Louis yet?

Not really, I've reached out to a couple Retention folks and I'm not finding many 25b positions open in the area. I found a spot that may work up here but it's not ideal.

A few weeks ago I met up with @Rilla at the REI Garage sale up in St. Louis, and picked up his KB Voodoo Bedrack from him. I believe it’s been well documented here on TW, that KB Voodoo had a bad batch of products powder coated which was outsourced, ultimately resulting in the coating flaking off and rust being an issue. I got in contact with the vendor, and he sent me $150 via PayPal to help offset the cost of media blasting/re-coating and some free stainless steel hardware even if I bought it used. I was able to get the steel components media blasted and just picked them up this morning. Thanks again @Rilla for the help! Weather permitting I’ll start prep and paint with the old reliable rattle can.

Must not have been me , as I am not badged pro. All my decals are removed , Black out kit installed , TRD pro grill , TRD rims, OEM roof rack.

 

Hey all! I've been following this thread for some time now and i think the only picture I have is my bio pic....which needs updated now. Here it is now that i've upgraded suspension and tires! Lots more to do. I can't wait until It's done.

 

So far I found one shop in my area that may work. Quinn Welding in Moline... From what I have been able to find he mostly works on motorcycles. A guy I know had him repair his bike frame after an accident.

 

Look what I found in the mail today. Just so happens there is a mod day next weekend

 

any recommendations on brand of differential fluid to buy? Mobile 1 as good as any?

Bought the stuff needed for the breather. Hope it comes in time. Will probably be buying some leds to replace in the rear lights for mod day too.
