Offer letter came in the email a little while ago. Approx 20k/yr reduction from where I am now. :( I have to negotiate a bit and see if they can bring that up some. Vacation is doable at 3 weeks compared to my now 5 weeks with Christmas week holiday. I need some soul searching at this point... Tonight, it'll be time to pour a glass and sit in my chair for some thought.

    If they want you, negotiate.
You have a job and 5 weeks of vacation. Ask for 5 weeks, when they say no, then ask to have your salary raised by the 2 weeks vacation. Might be worth it.

20k less is a tough hit. Unless it is made up with better insurance, retirement, profit sharing....I have a feeling the company knows a candidate can't take that size hit. Good luck.

If it doesn’t pan out, I maybe able to use this as leverage to move out of Quality and back to Manufacturing Engineering at my present company...

I'm going to look more into the ceramic widow coatings. I seen the display at the Line X shop yesterday and how much it drops the temperatures. Don't know that I'd do a windsheld in this country, but definitely the side and rear windows.

I'm not one to draw attention from law enforcement. All of my tints are legal and, since I have a cdl to protect, I don't speed or drive erratic. When I have to step up my pace at work I'm usually headed in the same direction to the same location as LE, fire and EMS and my vehicle is well marked so it's a non issue.

To myself that is worth the price on having it professionally done , most of the labor charge is paint correction which can be costly

The initial expense is quite a shock but after that just using this product every 6-12 mo and you'll have a nice looking truck or car

I actually have a lot of contact. On the rare occassion I am pulled over in my POV our contacts start with me having the window rolled.down, my license, insurance, ccw (if I'm carrying) and business card in hand and it's ready for when they ask. This isn't something taken lightly down here.

    Nope

One trip to the desert would make the coating go bye-bye

You need a Toyota scan tool compatible. Cannot bleed with out it.
FYI anytime you do brakes on one and you remove calipers etc.
NEVER EVER OPEN THE DRIVERS DOOR.
IT GOES INTO A WAKE UP MODE AND WILL PUSH THOSE PISTONS RIGHT OUT OF THE CALIPER.
    Your welcome
That will be $75.00 please for tech support..

@scottalot theres a lot of Tacoma’s around here. I saw a nice lifted silver one yesterday with a matching cap with no windows. This morning I saw another silver with all yellow emblems that was different. Plus there’s been a bunch of others

I just had 3M tint done somewhere late last summer on my truck and Wrangler. But my wife wants a new truck here in the near future so I'll probably have hers done with the ceramic tint. I haven't seen if it can be applied over "normal" tint or not. I hope so. That would save in the cost of having the original removed first.
