Thank you. Just trying to help out since the first tester wasn’t able to come through yet. I’d love for this product to get out there for others to enjoy.

How involved was dropping the headliner?

I actually am not that bothered by the fading of the anodizing, because that's what happens, the sun is harsh on components. It would only bother me in the future when the fading gets much worse. It just shows you what a great company Baja Designs is by stepping up to claim that under a warranty. Even though I just got word from them and since I am not the original owner, I would have to pay for any repairs. I will eventually replace them when I purchase other lights from them in the future, but for now, they will stay, brown and all.

No but hopefully it will keep me from being rear-ended a third time. And you could potentially buy an aftermarket strobe controller much like what emergency and maintenance vehicles use.

Not sure I feel the same. That’s a lot of money and labor for a finish that will look bad pretty quickly. I wonder if there is a way to protect the finish for a more lasting look.

Google LED flasher and you can find several programmable flash units from $25 to $50. They are commonly used on emergency vehicles.

Dynatrac ProRock 60 Rear Axle, that is important enough.
I will look into both of those, should not be hard to add that inline somehow on that.

    Thanks,

Emergency vehicles have a lot more than 1 or 2 flashing lights, and they have to be synchronized so they don’t cause seizures as they drive down the street. They have program modules in the vehicles that sync it all up, but those ones cost about $5-10k. I’m sure the ones you can buy for $25 to 50 would work for the brake light, but make sure you know the local laws, if any, about that. I know on my ambulance, the brakes have one quick flash before staying on solid red. That actually does a really good job at grabbing people’s attention, but emergency vehicle lights have different vehicle codes than most cars. I’ve commonly seen the 3rd brake light flash rapidly when the brakes are applied, and then stay solid burning until the brake is released around here.

So this may be off topic but you guys are talking about flashing lights lol.

on my bike when I brake my tail light flashes 3 times then goes solid. any way of doing this with our brake lights?

Read above... Post #690. I don’t think anyone has done it but you can get a programmable LED flasher module and probably throw it in line with your third brake light. You’d have to pull down the headliner and install it in line with the cables, if it’s small enough.

"With no major changes planned, the 2019 Toyota Tacoma will likely again be offered in SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, TRD Pro, and Limited trim levels." ... "When it comes to the 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro, expect an even beefier truck than ever before. New equipment includes Fox off-road shocks with TRD springs, as well as exclusive accents added to both the interior and exterior. By far the coolest feature of the new TRD Pro Tacoma is the available TRD Desert Air Intake, because nothing means business when it comes to off-roading quite like a snorkel. Toyota claims this option helps the 2019 Tacoma breathe cleaner air in off-road environments, though there is no official word on if the snorkel helps the new Tacoma to ford small bodies of water, or if that action will void the 3-year/36,000-mile warranty."

I've been gone for awhile, what did I miss? Looks like testing is complete and we are in the production phase now?
