    Time to talk about something Aspergers-related, specifically dealing with sudden changes in schedules...

    Things like traffic jams and flight delays I can deal with like a normal person. Shit happens.

    Things like DUI checkpoints push my limits, but 99% of the time I can find out about those ahead of time and avoid them. If I can't avoid a DUI checkpoint, then whatever; I'll be pissed but I don't drink and drive, and thus I have nothing to hide!

    However, something happened today that would be a perfect example of me not dealing well with sudden change. I just worked for several hours, doing a decent amount of heavy lifting, and my sole intention is crash at home while watching TV. My dad texts me as I'm on my last task of the day and asks if I can help him move the patio furniture and grill from the garage to the back deck. I was a bit annoyed, which is normal, but I said okay and expected that my dad had everything ready to be moved. Turns out my dad wanted me to help him declutter the garage and move the patio furniture to the backyard! I instantly became a bit overwhelmed and rather annoyed, and a brief argument broke out. I gladly helped my dad move our gas grill around back and up the stairs to the back deck, and this ended up being a chore in itself...

    Anyway, I am always happy to help out, but I don't like having shit sprung on me and especially not when I have my heart set on coming home and relaxing...
