It's definitely not the NMW, we're central at best. I work at UMaine so I'm used to hearing how far away from everything we are. Most kids here haven't been north of Orono.

That's funny. You've got stores, restaurants, an airport...the ocean's close, the mountains are close. Seems like everything's pretty convenient to Bangor. :notsure:

Except Massachusetts, and that's not really a bad thing, haha!

I'm looking to buy about 10 bags of Milorganite to do my lawn fertilizer this spring. Anyone have any good leads on places to buy it sub $10 a bag?

Sub $10? Nowhere that I know of. Even Tractor Supply is asking $15/bag or so. They might give you a discount on a bulk purchase, but I'm not sure 10 bags would qualify.

Not sure if they have it, but have heard Fedco (I think thats what its called) in the waterville area is a good place to go for garden items. I read about it on a gardening forum a few years ago.

I grew up 3 hours north of Bangor, I remember taking trips to Bangor during school vacation or after the potato harvest. This was a big ordeal, the car would have to have the oil changed before the trip, now a days people just take off and drive to Bangor and back just to watch a concert.

Yeah I was hoping to get better than big box pricing. I've read that places like menards and fleet farm usually have it for 9 dollars, but obviously we dont get the luxury of those stores here.

Not sure about Maine specific, but up in the NMW it's pretty much endless dirt roads. Check out Northeast Toyota Crawlers and Exploring New Hampshire. Also check out NEA4wd

Where abouts 3 hour north ?
My wife is from Caribou, some of her family is still there. The boys and Mom. Seems many of the county girls move out in search of an easier life ?

It’s a 12ft Lund I bought in kittery and took it right to casco bay lines. Only $13 to drop off on Long Island. I also purchased a Suzuki 15hp that stays with the boat on Long Island maine. I used a hitch extended to get the Lund to the ferry. You can see it in the picture.

I grew up in Fort Fairfield,
There isn't much left up there so hopefully everyone gets out of there if they are smart
