I removed mine. take a good tug, but they come right off.

only challenge was to get paint around the edges... but with enough patience, came out pretty good!

As another posted right above stated, take them off. It’ll be much easier to work with. It comes off pretty easily, just give it a solid pull.

I have a question for you guys. I derped my flares out side because I don't have a garage. They came out good but have a little texture to them (I guess it's dust or something that was in the air). Where do you derp your flares, for those that have done them?

They're pretty easy to remove. You have two screws and the two push down locking tabs. Remove those and then just lift up a bit and pull forward on the grill. It should come right off. Here's You Tube video that shows how to do it. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?...D09115301EA8BBDA84E2D09115301EA8&&FORM=VRDGAR Good Luck!

I have a 2017 and I'm assuming it's the same way. Once you take it off on the back there are some screws that you need to remove first. On the bottom part of the grill there should be some chrome tabs (I have chrome trim piece) that you need to push out (you can use a screw driver the push down on them). Once you do that the trim piece should separate from the grill.

If it had been posted before and I missed it forgive me. How many cans and coats would I need to do my grill?

Thought I needed glosifier to make the plastidip a flat color. Is that not right? I am new to plastidip.

Plastidip is great for users that intend to return the part(s) back to factory in the near future. A good temporary color change.

I would never use it as a permanent solution as properly applied paint is much more durable...lasts longer.

The positives of pladtidip is that it is easy to use and does a good job for it's intended purpose...temporary color change.

Oh yeah. Looks great and it's durable as hell if the overspray on my driveway is any indication. Snow, sun, and foot traffic haven't faded it in the least.
