I might try to make it out. I've got my new trailer frame coming that same weekend so need to be on standby to get it installed. I'll PM you for the address.

I tried using a variety of ways to remove the coating. I started with one crossbar and tested different areas taped off using Rustoleum Aircraft Cleaner, Angle Grinder w/flap disk, and plain old sand paper. All three methods suck, so I decided to take them to get them media blasted.

Apparently my plan worked. Ran into an old friend who is a welder and likes fun projects. He's offered to help me and teach me at the same time!

I had mine 3 months before it started flaking and rusting. mine was definitely not powder coated. It was just a terrible paint job.

Not taco related but Home Depot has Scott's Earth Grow mulch (the good stuff) 5 for $10 right now. It's a hell of a good deal. I wasn't looking to get mulch yet but couldn't pass up.15238261262313892102412427042695.jpg

HA! My week was the same. I went to Lowe’s and they had a 5 for $10 deal too. My Taco hauled 75 bags over three trips... “we need like 30 bags”..”nah, like 30 more”.. “OK 15 more should do it”...

That’s a pretty good deal. The parks in the city has free mulch. Only problem is you have to load it up yourself.

Anyone here interested in a pelfreybilt single hoop bumper?
It's for an 05-11. Still bare metal.

Would be willing to let it go for what I paid for it, $1100

    You basically avoid shipping costs.

(Would be willing to trade for King rear shocks and some cash)

Pretty sure the only difference is the top center, it angles up and has the triangle points for the 12-15 grille. That could easily be added especially since its not even coated yet
