Hey everybody! Excited to say I FINALLY bought my first Tacoma!!
With 3 kids, I was only able to afford the 2015 base 4x4 model. This is my first step, and I’d like to know what modifications I should consider first. I know I’ll need a lift and larger tires/rims and I’d like to update the Entune so it will actually do GPS instead of just a basic map.
I’m looking forward to your ideas/suggestions!

What do you want to do with the truck? Mall crawl? Mudding? Rock crawling? What area are you living? Answer those and we can get you in the right direction.

I’ll be doing some weekend mudding and basic off-roading. So, a lift and larger tires is a must, but I don’t want to go too large cause I still need to maintain decent gas mileage on the road. So I’m looking for rec’s on:
    - Lift size (3” vs 6” vs ?)
    - Tire / Rim size? (I’d like the tires to pop out from the body slightly.)
    - I need a toneau cover too - is there a less expensive option than the dealer? If so, where??
    - Looking for rubber floor mats for front and rear seats. Where can I find those for cheap?
    - Also, the radio doesn’t put out GPS, so is there an upgrade I can make to that??
    - Even though it’s base model, I wanna make some cosmetic mods to at least make it look a little tougher. So any thoughts there would help too.

For sure! I take my time but want the ideas to think about and then make a decision when my tires are up for replacement.
