I've had my TV connected to the internet via wireless since I got it. My router was located in a bedroom closet on the other side of the house, along with my phone base station, mini cell tower, printer and a few other things. I have a network and a coax cable running from the closet to the living room, where the network cable plugs into an 8 port switch that's connected to my PC, stereo, Tivo, etc.

Trouble is my TV never would connect to the internet when going through the switch. It did fine if I plugged it into the router directly, but I had only made 1 run from the closet. I finally got tired of the slow wireless speed when streaming movies so I decided to move most of the closet stuff into the entertainment center. What a pain. I used to have a bigger entertainment center, but it got downsized at the request of SWMBO, so it's all kinda squeezed in there now. My slightly OCD self dreams of having a good sized dedicated walk in IT closet where I can put all this stuff, in racks with clean, organized wiring. This was how I spent my Saturday morning...

The back is about 80% open. The door on the right doesn't close all the way because the PC tower sticks out about 1/4" too far. We keep the left door open when using the equipment (we have IR remotes). I'll have too keep an eye on it over the next few days to make sure. If it does get to be too warm I'll put a small fan in the to move the air out.

Dude this wasnt even a woman... The first one i built looked too much like pine (even though when he asked what it would be made out of i said pine, i then asked what color he wanted it stained and said just white washed...) luckily the first one sold for full asking price after like 3 days on fb. I told him id try to stain it dark and then white wash so it wasnt so piney. Round 1 here 20180327_064013.jpg
