So I screwed up and mangled a shackle bushing. Eric schooled me about separating the metal sleeves from the shackles and was then kind enough to drop one in the mail last night. Cant compliment him enough. And these hangers are the most legit suspension upgrade you can do as a favor to yourself.

Heres the secret. Get a dremel and metal cutting blade. Grab your AirCat or whatever Harbor Freight Air Saw with about 3 or 4 blades. Cut 4 slits in the metal inserts on the rolled edge with the dremel. Continue on those slits into the body (phrasing) of the shackle with the Air Saw. Grab a rubber hammer and flat head screw driver. Beat the 4 individual cuts inward. Do it on both sides of the shackle. PB Blaster is your friend now. Once you have the 4 sections beat inward of the shackle, take your hammer and punch or screw driver and punch it out. Here is the aftermath.

Still want those OEM hangers? Saved them just for you. I'll turn them into plasma cutter art otherwise

I wonder if this “chatter” is whats been annoying me. Have deaver expo pack with a bit of weight but decent positive arch and good foxes w/ adjusters. Seems like the rear bounces around a bit on bumpy roads. Like rebound is too stiff coming back down and then kinda chatters/ dances around i guess. Nothing loose sounding like mentioned above. That’s definitely not well worded! its just really hard to explain. Recall them being smoother so possibly the springs are overloaded even though they still look good i dunno.
These are 1/2” lift on all models? Really not trying to add any lift

That's very likely to be what's happening. I also had nice Fox 2.5" remote reservoir with DSC shocks throughout my experience from poor ride to smooth ride with installation of Hammer hangers. Shocks only account for a portion of ride quality.
I dont think your springs are overloaded, so far my customers with Deaver expo U402s with Hammer hangers say the ride is great and "cushy". The stock hangers flex more the more weight you add, but I think sometimes added weight dampens the chatter over smaller bumps but might show up over larger events.
Its probably really complicated math to map how the stock hangers flex, the solution is to install the Hammer hangers that virtually don't flex.

I got my Hammer Hangers installed yesterday and it's made a noticeable difference in ride quality already. I'm running Icon's RXT rear suspension and was getting a little bit of "buck", but it has completely smoothed out after installing the new hangers. Great product Eric! I'll flex it out on our rock and let you know the difference.

Not really bad at all. I followed Eric's directions and it took me roughly 2.5-3 hours. The rivets are obviously the hard part, but just take your time. After grinding them down, I used an air hammer to knock the top 2 out and they came right off. The bottom 2 you have to drill out with 1/4" bit and then follow with 1/2". I also installed his cross-member rather than fabbing up one myself and it fit perfectly.

    Congrats Matt!

Man it was 50/50 between me and @Ted Yoder for a day or two there...:angrygirl: These are just too good of a product to keep secret though!

Got my Hammer hangars too, walked across my complex carrying a heavy flat rate box with a shit-eating grin on my face the whole time.:D

Fit and finish looks amazing, solid pieces of work with nice quality fasteners provided too.:headbang:

I don't know quite when I will be able to get them on my truck, I'm not sure if I want to try an all-at-once deal with the rest of the mods I have planned or just roll it out in phases. I have that "fresh" set of PRO / TRDOR leaves sitting looking pretty, so theoretically I could get the leaves out of the way and do the shocks another day.
