Make sure you select all files when searching for the 1.04 file.

My wife hates my Catback and I think my neighbors like me a little so I'd better not go fire that thing up and idle for 20 at 2 in the morning. I'll get it in a few and make for an exciting ride to church!!

Just took a quick spin on both freeway and street driving! First impressions... smooth, like smoother than 1.03.

I saw crossplane's post as a reply to ToyoVL. And in this regard, I agree with him. ToyoVL's post came across as a little harsh, no?

OVTune is a grown up,business owner, and a Vet. I’d like to think that he can take care of himself.
If he feels the need to chime in and handle someone being a fuck stick then he will.
My opinion for the rest of us is to ignore it and let the man handle his biz which includes the occasional customer who can’t wait or read.
There’s a lot of help and good info in this forum and community. You don’t need to speak for OVTune or work from him to help a fellow member of the community out. That’s pretty much what makes this forum exceptional when compared to others out there after all.

So let the people bitch and complain. Nothing is gonna change for the rest of us.

I’ll take a page from the MT guys, contribute and help OVTune to get what I want. More feedback and data logging as a group is going to make this development go a lot faster and better.

I have my days, we all do.

    Just my opinion

Ovtune sounds pretty impressive, looks like I'll have to drop some cash when it becomes available again.

I'm not super computer savvy, I get can get by though. Is it fairly simple installing and updating with future tunes?

Also, probably obvious answer here, but I'm assuming powertrain warranty is out the door after installing a tune like this?

Sorry if these questions have been answered, but 809 pages is a lot of info to comb through.

The tune cannot be detected unless you tell Toyota you flashed your truck otherwise your warranty stays intact.

The tune is easy to install when the directions are followed.

You won’t regret making the investment. The tune literally saved me from getting rid of my truck.

ok just got back from a 117 mile trip on 1.04 87 tune and here is my impressions:

    - i am one of the people who's truck fell on it's face coming out of a corner and that is fixed.
    - takeoff and shifting is perfect for my daily driving feeling.
    - shift points are dead on, not too low or too high like 1.03 had.
    - upshifts and downshifts are smooth now, i thought 1.03 was alittle jerky almost forcing going into gears.
    - mpg increased about 1.5mpg compared to 1.03

I was one of those people who were honest about any issues that came up so matt knew what people were looking for. For my preference of driving which is mostly city and about 30% highway, matt had nailed it with 1.04. This tune is exactly what i was hoping it would evolve to. Good job @OVTune very happy now and will keep the truck for a long time.

Flashed and idling! For a split second the ".hex" files vs the prior ".bin" files threw me off :)

    Thanks Mat!

lol questioned that as well, said F it, and loaded, let idle and took for a quick spin, didn't
notice any difference ......but my quick spin was just a few miles.
