    Thank you!

I was reading up on that, I've only made it through one thread and people were saying without clear it chips, and with clear it yellows. Still a very solid option. Maybe a different clear would be a better option.

I meant the basic white label rustoleum “gloss white”. No clear coat. That’s where you get yellowing. That’s actually the good thing about black and white. You get a good color match and even finish without clear coating.
I’ve done the same thing to my current truck (black grill).

Let me know if you need help. I’ve done about 4 installs now. Getting faster at it.

Got it! I can find that pretty easy at Hole Depot.

It won't be for a long while but when the time comes I'll definitely hit you up for the help :fistbump:

Obviously you know i haven’t used it on my truck, lol but i’ve used it on metal and plastic and it pops vibrantly.Spray’s out of the can consistent and smooth.

    I used this one:

    ECC2E7C8-460E-4727-A137-BEE2F6A87647.jpg

The professional series (chrome can) is the same color but a thicker paint. Good for quick coverage but sometimes it’s harder to get a really good even gloss out of it unless conditions are optimal. The white can is more forgiving.

I know my way around paint. And spray paint. I spray painted my entire mustang and didn’t get a single run and the paint was even to where you couldn’t see paint strokes.

And the graffitis. Lots of graffitis when I was a young man with nothing to lose.

I'm what you would call a spray paint rookie.

Ps: @4x4Banger says "What's up dude? I'll be there!"

:hattip::cheers:Thicker paint it is and yes the conditions always play in on the factor.I’ve had incredible success with it but i’ll have to try out the GPE for as i have a project that i’ve been prolonging for quite some time but i know i’ll be using white rattle can paint.

I use the industrial stuff for all my fab work. I have a gallon of it that I’ve been working on for a while now. I’ll usually thin it down and spray it with my hplv gun when I build fencing or railings. Awesome stuff.

I have used 5 cans of this stuff and it is not a good match for the Toyota super white. The super white they have is a Nissan color. The chrome grill surround on my truck has been painted 2 times only to be chipped away while driving in the rain.
Don't waste your money on the duplicolor.

@GHOST SHIP for the chrome grille surround does priming over the smooth chrome work or is it beneficial to scuff it up with some sanding?
I tried painting the grille on my old truck and I remember the chrome shell is a PITA to sand. I know I won't be able to sand it all off.

    Roger that!

The self etching primer is probably where I made my mistake last time.
