So I’m sure one of you here has already experienced this, so figured I’d ask here before researching it when I get home:

So if you get a speeding ticket out of state (California) are your options the same like Arizona, a. pay your ticket and move on, or b. Pay for driving school instead of the ticket amount and not get the points?

Also is the driving school you enroll in have to be an online California approved one, or do they do local classes in Arizona that are specific to out of state?

Always a fun way to end a trip btw.

Yes, CA has the same options about paying/school.

It must be a CA approved school.

Thanks figured as much, just not home yet so only have had a chance to look up info at rest stops, while the wife pees and so on, and of course it’s fun to think about.

I thought out of state points do not transfer over in most cases?

Got nabbed in South Carolina over a decade ago going 88 in a 70.
(The cop wasn't amused by me asking if he would have let me off if I was in a DeLorean )
He was nice enough to drop it to 14 over so I wasn't getting totally reamed but it still cost me $180.

It was a points offense but no points ever made it to my PA license and I think my insurance was never even notified.:notsure:

I guess CA and AZ bordering each other makes it more likely they would share the revenue generation.

    So from personal experience,

CA has an online driving school, or at least they used too.
