Well crap, I changed mine this last time with the redline because it was so highly recommended. I aven't had any issues with it yet in 5k miles or the T-case either for that matter. I haven't noticed it shifting so much smoother as everybody said it would but no adverse effects either

I have no evidence that the two are connected, but not a chance I'm taking again. Nor one I would recommend

I have used the crap out of redline in M/Ts never in a Taco though. We were sponsored by redline back in my circle track racing days and never had an issue that is really weird. I find it hard to believe that fld in a manual would cause popping out of gear issues. I have seen that on autos with guys running a non approved fld like redline, amsoil, royal purple, etc. in other vehicles. All the fld does in a manual is a splash lube like the counterweights on a crankshaft so unless it's just so heavy that it wasn't allowing full engagement. Would be interesting to actually do some tests as to why that was happening. Not saying it couldn't just unlikely or strange, I have seen stranger things that don't seem possible. I could see that in the likes of an older Honda that uses reg. engine oil in their manual trans rather than gear oil.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you start having issues then switch back to a "normal" approved gear oil.

I don't doubt your word at all. It was just so highly reccomended from so many different sources I thought I'd try it. Perhaps I'll change back to OEM for now it's been fine though

I did, I used this one

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000MCXOU4

IDK if I'll use it again the damn hose came off while I was filling the trans and I got that shit all over everywhere. I did ake sure the Redline matched all the OEM requirements. Like I saaid no problems so far :fingerscrossed:

That all rolled through here. Tornado watch but has been lifted for a while now.

Why, if you're trading it?

You can get an se 4 door, but I agree with the SUV route. Glad my wife doesn't like sedans. And I've been down there in heavy rain, so I've seen the flooding.

We'll probably go a couple of weeks after AOP, before it starts to get too warm and too busy. Got a couple of good months for camping coming up, wanna make the most of them.

Man, she loves that Camry. She got the LE because she didn't like the stiffer ride of the SE.

So what you are saying is even when there is a way off he's still stuck there and fails at getting off the island.

Yessir! That was totally unexpected. We had never discussed anything like that. Just when you said you were going there, I put in the recommendation.

Nice, yeah, I'll let you know. My boys definitely like to fish. They're not very good at it yet, but they enjoy it. Lol

Awesome, man! Glad to hear that. He told me nothing except to ask do you have Tim's address? I was like no, but I can probably ask him. That's when he said he wanted to send you a thank you something.
