I might need to start lurking here again. Daily'ing the Tacoma again since the BRZ commuter may very well be totaled.

What are good replacements for the stock Dunflops? Don't need crazy off-road ability.

Welcome back! there has been quite a bit more activity than when i first got on here as well. The thread is really coming along nicely!

If you're dailying the taco and drive mainly on highway, you cant go wrong with michelin LTX defenders. I've had some on my truck in the past and got 80k+ plus miles out of them before they needed replacing.

Those look about right for my needs, thanks! I only have 28.5k on the stock Dunflops and they squeal like crazy around any corner.

Ran off the interchange by some stupid American truck that came into my lane trying to rage-pass some stupid American minivan.

In hindsight I should have done more of that, but being in a corner things still might have gone awry. I couldn't tell at first if they were just wandering out of their lane, but nope, this was deliberate lane changing. I didn't want to get run over by big truck, but the shoulder was gravel so once I touched that it was all over. It's a major interchange, why wouldn't you pave the shoulder? At least I would have had a chance...

People in this city are horrible drivers.

    Can't merge for shit.
Don't yield for a damn thing.
Always playing on their fucking phones to top it off.

I have begun to practice judicious use of my horn.
Not making any friends, but maybe the message will get through.

As a native San Antonian, that's been across the country a number of times, it's astonishing how self-centered and self-righteous our drivers are. It's pathetic.

The BRZ horn isn't nearly loud enough. I had just unboxed new Hella horns the morning this happened...

I watched a driver this morning argue with a uniformed officer that he had the right of way over pedestrians.

He pulled onto the course of the Alamo Marathon. Officer told him be could not proceed further and dude flipped.
Driver told the officer he had no authority to stop him.

To my dissappointment there was no taser used against the driver.

Those are the big three. The merging is painful. Everyone has a damn phone suction cupped to their windshield. I thought with Bluetooth and car screens we'd be getting away from that...
