    i like to put a pot on the woodstove when its cold. a hock helps thicken the broth. when you use bones the marrow adds a flavor and thickness you cant duplicate

    went for the blackout package this time
    today's chore... I retrofitted the old trailer sides for my truck - what do you think? too redneck? I had to cut off 18 inches at the back and move the sliders for the back piece forward but the width was perfect after I cut out for the wheel wells. It definitely makes 'Arnie' a farm truck! I needed to haul a sheep last week and this would have worked well so now I'm locked and loaded for the next sheepish adventure.

    I agree with you, it doesn't look that great... but the sides are high enough they won't jump out and the sides were already made, so it was just a matter of adjusting to fit the box. My trailer was 7 1/2 feet long. I don't like power tools, so I cut it all with a handsaw... cutting off a foot for beauty just seemed like too much work... cutting out the wheel wells was enough exercise for one day LOL
