What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I'd be more worried about that rust near the glass vs the clearcoat

 

That rust has been there for 15 years.

And yes, I'm worried about both.

 

I literally just dealt with all of this last week.
B1S1 is “pre” cat. Closest to engine. Commonly called the “upstream” o2 sensor.

 

Nevermind. If it took 15 years to get to that point, we'll be dead by the time it begins to leak lol

 

I had a rusty windhield frame, pain in the ass to repair if you even bother. But if it isn't bad just tell em more glue when you inevitably have to reseal the windshield.

 

Before I got my windshield replaced mine leaked air when I was driving on the highway or thing, never water, into the cab anyway.

You have to remove a lot of stuff to install on so it's possible you'll make more of a mess or fix something haha

 

As much as I want to I can buy a supercharger kit with 7th injector now. But I need to fix the truck in terms of maintenance first.

 

Lol O2 sensors just go "oooooo shiny I'll work with shiny

 

That's not a bad bearing, that is a non existent bearing!

For what it is worth, second gen bearings are a lot easier to replace than 1 St gen bearings.

 

Yeah, I took a break from upgrades myself to take care of 3 fuel/air related codes. $160 at rockauto and boom. Lights off. Back to upgrades.

 

I'm not convinced this dude hasn't been hearing this for at least a couple months. That bearing looks like it was swimming in water for a little while.

 

Hit Bangs Canyon near GJ today, tested the new gears, OME leafs, new LBJ’s, tie rods, steering rack and sway bar bushings. Also my u-bolt flip kept the rear axle under the truck. 1st Gen FTW!

 

You just unbolt the hub assembly. Comes right out.

2 new 2nd gen hubs. Amazon in less then 24hrs at my door.



Oh ya this just happened today.
Along with alternator on Friday and the battery last weekend. Enough already.
