Raikkonen is gonna snap if he keeps losing poles to Vettel this season

Think Merc screwed up by not pitting Hamilton at the safety car but I'll have to look at the replay. Red Bull did an awesome job taking advantage of the lucky break created by the Toro Rossi kids.

    Standby for the shoeie.

Verstappen needs to learn some fucking patience.
    Happy about Ricardo.
Happy with Hamilton not on the podium
    Not happy about Vettels position.

Don't agree with Hamilton very often but I think his dickhead comment is on point.

This is a nice change. We are getting some post race instead of cutting immediately from the podium to cheerleading or some stupid shit.

Youth, liquor, and women can all make a man silly brave. Max is just too young yet to know better. It got him to F1 and now the other F1 drivers pay the price.

Boy, that safety car sure saved the end of the race from being a snoozer.

I think the SC caught MB sleeping on the wall while Red Bull were already up making coffee,. Awesome end.

Liking this season so far. All three have had good racing right through to the end,,, for whatever reason. I have felt little need to fast forward so far.

As for espn coverage, think this is the first where they had pre, race and post coverage televised fairly well. I am concerned with the no advertising thing during the race, while I like it, I know how the world turns and no advers = no money coming in. Doesn’t necessarily bode well...

Great race, love seeing Kimi on the podium even if Vettel got screwed. Amazing drive from Ricciardo, he deserved that win.

    Verstappen is a twat.

Is Kimi just collecting a pay check from Ferrari now? He's a former world champ and Ferrari are treating him like a red headed step child. Leaving him out there for so long on his first stint to run blocker would suck if you were hungry for wins.

What a RACE! Very exciting. Yes the safety car mixed things up, but I think it would have still been a barn burner. Ricciardo was brilliant! What a drive. I have to agree with Paul DiResta's post-race comment though -- the timing of the safety car was odd, and there was no reason they could not have timed it such that it presented the same decision matrix to everyone. MB is really getting some bad luck this year as regards safety periods.

I give Max a bit of a pass on the incident with Seb -- he thought he saw an opening, and was clearly faster and able to brake more deeply, and he came within a few inches of making it work. The outcome was unfortunate and he paid a price. Time to move on. The move on Hamilton, by contrast, was just dumb.
Sorry, but no. Ferrari plays favorites. Always have, always will. Seb is their golden boy right now, and Kimi has suffered for it. Remember, Ferrari is all about the driver. They make no bones about caring far less about the manufacturers' title -- which comes with a payday in the $millions -- than they do the drivers' title -- which is worth $0. Why not, when they get paid $40M just for being Ferrari?

I would agree with this. I think Kimi's start also played into how the strategy was employed. If he had gotten a good jump off the start and held on to 2nd or even jumped in front of Vettel rather than dropped back to 4th almost immediately I think their strategy would've been very different for him. Ferrari just had to try to make the most they could out of where their drivers were after things opened up.
