Have you hooked up a trailer ?
Or installed a brake controller ?
Blue wire is brake controller line, if shorted will give this usually.

    No kind of hook ups.
It started when I cranked it up in the driveway.
Tomorrow will be two days that the dealer has had it. I will call towards the end of the day, if they haven't called me.
I did change out the back up lights to LED's. I would think that changing a couple of lights would not shut the truck down.

No....I read about that potential problem, but I never use but one foot. I interested in seeing what the dealer comes up with.

I got an error when I swapped in some LED bulbs, put the stock back and it was fine.

Hopefully your dealership is cheap :spending:

Mine wasn't the taillights.....it was the backup lights. Also, mine would start and run, but the engine was in the cutback mode. It wouldn't do much more than an idle.

Coincidences do happen, but rarely. Things seemed to go downhill after the LED install. Shame spending $$ at a dealership, when replacing those LEDs back to the original bulbs might have solved the problem.

Ever since Toyota got a black eye over run away cars they don't allow you to touch both pedals at the same time with out freaking out. I'm sure this is most all newer cars now. Funny thing was it was proven not to be Toyota's fault. But we got 2 years of maintenance and more safety feature because of it.

Having the same issue at the dealership right now . My truck was drivable but didn't have brake lights. I had swapped to winjet led tail lights. Limped my way on back roads so i didn't get aahighee chance of getting pulled over. Swapped back to stock and still didn't fix the issue. Well see what Toyota says.

Pretty sure this is false. You can still do a brake stand. You just need to be holding the brake before you give it any throttle input.

Throttle first, then brake will shut it down.
