I drove mine over to Home Depot the other night. Bunch of guys with tacomas showed up, it was weird, because for five months, I had been wanting to do this, and well, wouldn't you know it, it happened. :D:D:D:D:D:rolleyes:

I'm going to try to put it all on....my guess is it will be about a month from now.

You put the AAL in yours right? If so which ones? Was it difficult?

I got the TC UCAs from Northridge Toyota in SoCal. New...$525 shipped. Best deal ever on those but Northridge was not easy to deal with...long story.

I ordered the Toytec ULK today. We should get together and do the AALs together or something.

I'm thinking I'll do mine in steps...

First the AALs, then the UCAs then the coilovers. It may take me a couple weekends. I should be able to do the AALs first and leave those on til I can do the rest. I think that is what Canada has on his right now. If I remember correctly Canada said the AALs were tricky to put on.

putting those aal's on was a real pain in the ass. It's something you definitely want to have a whole day to deal with and a backup car to drive if you need to go somewhere. AND.......you definitely want to have all the necessary tools to do it with. Not difficult, just different. Having to do it again, I would have more "C" clamps, which I had at the end of it all. :D

I was thinking that's high but I guess they have to compress the springs so that may be about right.

A guy at tire kingdom in Aiken told me $350 to install front coilovers, rear 5100s, AAL, shim, etc (the whole toytec ulk) but those coilover are preassembled...maybe that's the difference. :)

Did you use the install thread by Chris4x4? Seems easy....did you say he left out a few steps? If so what are they...maybe it will help me to know the missed steps when I put mine on. Thanks! :)

maybe I say that because we had such a time with it. I have a tendency to get my ass puckered when things are not going well with mods on my truck. On a brighter note, tire kingdom told me that they would compress my springs for $30, now I forget if that is for one or both. I was happy either way. :yay:
