No worries man! Life’s busy for all this time of year. I wish I wasn’t busy mod day so I could just get this pile of parts on the truck.

I’ve got plans next Sunday otherwise I’d offer to swing by and help out. I’m off that Monday if that would work.

Na not sketchy. You should see how I tilt cabs to work on engines. Basically same setup you have (jack and 2x4s) and give the cab a 4in body lift in front. I'll take some pics for ya next time

Appreciated James. As we previously found out our schedules will never match up haha. I’ll be working a 12 Monday, but the offer is much appreciated.

:thumbsup:If you’ve got a few lifts under your belt I’d consider driving to you. Next weekend is likely my only free one for a while. Appreciate the offer - maybe we can make it work, I’ll see if anyone closer can chime in.

A guy who used to work for my dad specialized in Subaru’s. He’s pull the boxer motors then set them on an empty 35 gallon oil drum to work on them.

I thought it was sketchy as hell but he’d been doing it for so long he’d just shrug if you asked him about it and say that’s how all the subaru mechanics did it.

Interested in participating as a learning experience, could lend some muscle , though I don't have a great deal of experience in coilover install.

A sad day for sure. I had the pleasure of meeting him and spending a few hours with him back in 2005. He was a very funny man.

Long day in the garage today. Thanks to @CalTacoma09 and @BudMan for the help. Oh, and I must not forget Huston.

Today was swap out rear bumper day.

Premium package comes with Mark Levinson stereo. Mark Levinson package is a premium w/ stereo and special leather/alcantera seats, door cards and rear cargo area. Also includes an alcantera headliner. Pain in the ass to find. Our broker found it at a dealership in Huston.

460 or 470? My moms 460 was really just “base” or “premium”. Guess Lexus simplified things.

Some additional photos from yesterdays adventures in body cutting. I did all the taping. I did all the cutting, though I wish there had been someone there that had performed this task before, as I was less than effective. Then, it looked like the cuts I made were reasonably accurate, but once the last bolts were tightened down, it became obvious that the bumper had sucked upward. There was no leeway to drop the bumper. We were at max low. I will have to drop the bumper again today to shave more body off. But, all in all, I feel a little better about doing the cutting. Did suffer some injuries. Nicked my forefinger with the grinder. Then nicked my thumb, as well. Nothing serious. Only slight blood letting. Then banged the back of my hand against the frame while wrenching that created a nice little blood blister. All this on one hand. Oh well, all in a days work. In these pictures it's easier to see the imperfections. After it was over the wife said, why don't you just pay someone to do it right the first time. Yeah, thanks a lot.

At the end of the operation Huston hooked up with my next door neighbors 7 year old twins for some gutter engineering.
