Lift and 265/75s. Might as well go 35s. No real gain with 285s. But what do I know?

 

255/85 will be my next tire. I can’t imagine getting worse mpg and being slower. Too each his own, I guess.

 

Yup. My crawling days where over when I sold my K5. Spending 4 hrs on a one mile trail doesn’t thrill me anymore.

Pretty much. Considering I am an LT guy, bigger tires were a must. Looking back, wish I had just gone dirties from the get go instead of the interim 33's.

 

Agreed. I went down like .5 mpg front 33's to 35's, but armor def doesn't help.

 

I think for most its a factor of getting the vehicle regeared that scares everyone away from dirties. With 33's, I never regeared mine.

 

Yea man Im not surprised. When I was getting my dirties I was in Texas and had commuted there for work with my truck to have fun on the weekends. I was told by a few shops that I would likely grenade my diff should I drive from there back to the east without a lot of stops. I do take some comfort that not only am I regeared, but that I got Yukon gears in my truck now as well. Doesn't make it bomb proof, but much better off than the stockers.
