If it contacts at ride height...have you tried flexing the rear? Pics? Curious if the contact is enough to prevent shackle movement on uptravel

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
Yes it prevent the shackle from moving on up travel but not the axle. But doing so will cause the springs to do bad things.

Well, we will see if this enough. Physically the shackle cannot move back anymore without contacting the hanger itself. Can only cut so much.....

    8A965C11-F42E-4F3B-85E4-397CE44D7CF6.jpg C9EE9E95-E081-43A0-8057-17A6A705790E.jpg BB0AD135-F59C-4935-BEB7-080800825974.jpg

The amount I grinded on the hanger itself, I had to go back and reweld.

both shackles go back to the lip of the hanger which should be enough hopefully.

No precaution. Just trying to keep them from rubbing. Was rubbing on both the inside and outside.

I am also using the stock movement to guesstimate how much I should clearance. Although the new mounts will be slightly dofferent there isn’t much movement going on in general.

This is flexed with the drooped wheel off the ground (had to mall crawl this one)

I have been waiting to get this done since I ordered in November, been holding my project up since I have ordered. When ever you ship the shackles I’ll gladly replace but this needs to work until then.

all bolts are removable if put in right.

the shackle to leaf bolt can be put in with the nut on the inside so it can be removed. mine is backwards as well as inesshell & night eagle (they both have long bolts). the bolt provided with my shackle was the perfect length where i could have ran it in with nut inside. that way, the shackle could be removed without removing the hanger. when i swap to the new shackle, i will be doing it this way.

my setup, you can see the bolt is perfect length

I’m speaking of the nut that bolts the shackle to the actual hanger. The bottom nut is inthe hanger itself. Having issues with that nut

Edit:had a typo in my original post. Meant nut not bolt.

I think a general rule of thumb is to have at least a couple threads of a bolt protruding past the nut

What's the issue all the welded nuts are checked after powder coat. it's a fine thread so if you cross threaded it just a little bit you might have to run a tap through it to clean the first few threads up.
