1k off msrp, was talking to the fleet manager, the person who ordered the calvary blue was taking forever to pick up the truck then i came along ready to take it off the lot. All he wanted was to keep moving them out the lot

Just bought a '17 TRD Offroad DCLB, 4x4, auto with premium, tech, and all weather mats, today and pretty happy with the deal I got.

With the $1,250 cash from Toyota and dealer discount I came to almost $2,500 under invoice.

Edit: Just a page back I see some discussion about the believability of getting thousands off invoice. I calc'd out if dealer actually paid what invoice was listed on the Costco auto buying website the dealer was only kicking in $1,300 off. As a percentage it calculated to 3.00% exactly off their "cost". As others have mentioned there's arbitrage from volume of sales, and other Toyota sales incentives. This is my first truck, first Toyota, so don't really have a reason to bs/troll. Have to say the car buying experience at Toyota was in a different league than the VW dealerships for my last two car purchases.

No. Checking the regional inventory, Cedar Falls Toyota was the only dealer in the region that had what I wanted.

    Hi,
Trying to find out where you got your great deal.
    Thanks,

1QUOTE="houalis, post: 17185404, member: 244910"]Since I browse here and got some great information to see what price I could get. I'll post my deal I pulled yesterday. Hopefully this is helpful for someone.

2018 Silver Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 DCSB A/T with Technology Package, All-Weather Floor Liner/Door Sill:
    MRSP: $38,138
    Sale Price: $34,399
    OTD @ 8.25%(CA) tax rate: $37,879.27

For some reason, when they did the tax, final price was $37,529.48. Feel like this was the best deal I could get. Only kicker was the interest rate, which was at 3.54%.

Contact most of the dealerships close to Sacramento Area, Bay Area and a couple north of Sacramento. Spent about a week just emailing back and forth with dealerships.

Have two dealerships that was really competitive on the price. Came down to what they have in stock and the color of the car. Picked Silver over Black.

I paid $38,900 for the same thing in Spokane. So I believe that price.

2018 DCSB TRD OR with the Premium/Tech/Tonneau package plus a few dealer installed options.

Toyota of Torrington in CT, HIGHLY recommended.

The first number seems really good. Can't compare the second because taxes vary between states. Titleling is typically just under 200.
    Edit
Also, if you can't get them to throw in accessories at least get it at dealer cost. Check the option price sticky on this forum to be sure they are honest.

Have a current offer for 33,224 (pretax) for a OR/MT in Cement with no tech package or extras. Haven't pulled the trigger yet but having a hard time coming up with any reason why I shouldn't..

    Hey all,

Currently negotiating but this is where I currently stand and wanted some opinions.

Apologize if you thought so. It wasn't directed at you.

My only point is, looking at "Deals" in a vacuum doesn't make any sense. Being a finance manager, you know very well, dealers have many other ways to make money per unit, and there are too many variables, to compare a truck sold in Bend Oregon vs a truck sold in Los Angeles.
