    @ChadsPride

I am just going to create a separate thread. Putting stuff in one post on this thread would just get out of hand very quick on keeping up with stuff.

    Question for yall prior participants.
How much money should I dedicate to raffles?
They all separate per sponsor or just randomly there?

And the meals provided. They usually good and plenty of food? Or should I bring extra to cook myself.
And if there's people selling food for lunch times or something that's not provided by the event itself.

Never been myself but site states with Driver registration, two evening meals included so you would need to bring all other meals yourself or drive into Gilmer to buy food.

Last year was my first time attending.
I spent $250 on raffle tickets and I didn’t win anything.
All sponsors are in one location displaying their products.
I would bring extra food especially breakfast. You could always drive into town to grab a bite

On the raffle - it's all what you are willing to lose in my opinion. Last year I think I only bought like $20 in tickets - this year I bought $100. There will be buckets for different specific items from vendors - and there is also a giant bucket for certain items that will be a mixture of things from different vendors. (this is all based on my vodka soaked memories from last year...so anyone is welcome to correct me if I'm wrong)

The dinner saturday night was pretty big if I remember correctly. I think I just packed snacks and hotdogs for the rest of the weekend (trying to limit cooler space). For some reason I was thinking the food truck wasn't there last year...but I could be wrong. I would bring plenty of bottled water (if you are a water drinker) and at the very least some snacks. It probably depends on how much you typically eat in a day.

You are correct the food truck was there because I remember waiting 40 minuets for two cheeseburgers. The burgers are good but not 40 minutes good

Dedicate an amount you are willing to completely lose and not feel bad about losing. That is how I see it. If you are willing to lose $1000 then so be it, but if you are not willing to lose $100... then don't buy $200 worth of tickets.

For the prizes, there is one giant barrel for a majority of the prizes, and then there are like 10 smaller buckets for some of the bigger ticket items like RTT, Fridge, Bumper, ETC.

Dinners are Provided, I usually do not bring anything to cook as they have usually had a food truck of some form for Breakfast and Lunch and Dinner is usually good enough to fill me up. I bring snacks like granola and sunflower seeds to keep me going. Oh, and beer....

    Oh I wont forget beer.

Sounds good I'll bring simple food if I don't feel like waiting for a food truck. Figured some people might cook up stuff in their own and sell to make a couple bucks lol.

And I'm definitely willing to risk a few bucks to win big lol

I haven't seen anyone selling food (meaning individuals- not food trucks) - but I've definitely seen people sharing food. I feel like people that like to cook at these events - like to share. I am not sure I even opened my hotdogs last year because people kept offering some of their food. I think I ate better that weekend than I typically do at home. lol

Haha I'll keep that in mind. Depending how lazy I'm feeling I might just pack a loaf and some peanut butter and jelly.

That's totally what I would do. lol Easy, cheap, quick. Perfect for Jambo. Your focus will not be on food anyway!

That's the proper thinking. Last thing you want to do is take up any of that valuable cooler space with food.

Yea, most people just bring stuff and share what they have instead of selling it. Or people kinda coordinate and bring stuff to cook for their group. I just don't as I just don't bring my kitchen box to save space in the truck.

I am however going to bring some freeze dried Mountain House stuff just in case as all that takes is some boiling water. If I don't use it... then I can just throw it in my camping box and use it for the next trip.

That and the stuff needed to boil the water takes up barely no room at all in one of my boxes.

Remind me to get some champagne for mimosas... and who does not want to wake up to bottles being popped.

Or tequila for tequila sunrises... but still unsure if I want to die yet or not.
