Rather crawl than mud. But at a high rate of speed :D
Realize how much I dislike mud after this weekend and the 60k service. There was LBL crusted slurry, stick, leaves, and gravel all up under every which way on the truck. Shit falling in my ears, mouth, nose, and eyes.

I've washed or rinsed the truck at least 3 times with a pressure washer since the trip there. Not counting the rain that's helped some.

Fuck mud. And you got those sliders and skids for a reason right? Get those tarz and your truck will be way too capable for boring old fire roads and mud holes. I expect to see you having some fun on the big boy rocks soon

    Possible I may come there.
Not sure what kind of locker tbh. Nothing too expensive, that I do know. Won't pay for an air locker and it'd be a lot like work to swap the axle to an e-locker. Let alone finding the axle itself in my area. Don't care if I bark tires in the mall parking lot, at least the Heeps will know I'm #trailrated
I contacted ECGS quite a while ago about it to get myself a game plan, they never replied.

I love my lock right in the rear. I know Gideon and Levi like the no slips they have. Stay under probably 2000-2500rpm and it just ratchets so you won't scrub your tires. Lock right is a bit more aggressive offroad but makes more noise, no slip is more road friendly but not as aggressive on the lock up offroad. Gideon says his no slip doesn't lock in reverse either.
I think the no slips generally run for about $100 more than the lock right, but I got my lock right for just $190 on Amazon.
Really easy install. Wouldn't bother getting ECGS to do it unless you want to regear at the same time

That's good info! Thanks for sharing! I'm clueless on them, so I'm learning much as I can.
Know what rear end you have? On the ECGS site, mine is the 8.4" Non-ELO T100/Tacoma I think.

I contacted ECGS just for help figuring out what rear I had and what locker to get. You're right, I won't be doing core swaps until regear.

I have the 8.4, so does Carter (no-slip), Gideon (no-slip), and I'm fairly sure Levi's is the 8.4 as well. Yours should be the 8.4 because it is non Elocker.
The powertrax lockers just slide into the carrier and replace the spider gears. You reuse the stock shims, all you have to do is slide the springs into the locker once it's in. Hardest part is holding down the housing while you retorque the ring gear (I stuck it in a vice and got a torque wrench on it. Think it was like 80ft-lbs)
Just make sure you are using limited slip gear oil in the diff afterwards

I don't see the no-slip on the ecgs site, only the lock right

    Short version is;
No-slip makes basically no noise and won't chirp tires as often but costs more and won't be as consistent offroad.
Lock Right clicks quietly when you turn and will "unload" occasionally which makes a pop sound (only had it happen to me a few times and I was pulling a trailer), but locks up more aggressively offroad and costs less
