Agreed. It's come a long way from the frustrating stock drives. I could only deal w/ it a day a few weeks ago when I decided to remind myself how it drove stock.... :)

Sounds interesting. Is there a thread with the rest of the story?

So addressing the 6th gear delayed upshift from my post earlier today....

During lunch break I stayed more aware of when and under what conditions my truck would have the delayed up shift. It seemed to only be during slow acceleration. Kinda like when no one is behind you and you are just taking your time (cause you have it) getting up to speed. I was around 57MPH when I looked down and noticed I was still in 5th at 2100 rpms. I let off, it shifted to 6th, and I kept on rolling up to 63 mph. All in all, it is acting pretty normal if you ask me. Additionally, on this same trip, I noticed I was in 6th at 45 mph sometimes. So I classify this as a "non-issue" especially with 4.88s and 285s.

Now, to nail down that 1-2 WOT shift!!!

I don’t have my Dongle yet, but I have 4:88 and floor it all the time. Hope I don’t hit the fuel cut all the time. I have hit fuel cut while manually shifting several times because the transmission is so slow shifting stock. Maybe he can just increase the rpm that fuel cut hits at if there is still table room for it in the tuning.

I found the fuel cut mainly happens during the first 200-300 miles before it disappears. I don’t know if it’s a fluke or if the truck just needed time to learn all the ignition and fuel trims. With 1.03 I had this problem, 1.04 I have NOT had this problem. I plan to drive some more and log so if it does hopefully I’ll capture it.

You would know it if you hit fuel cutoff. It is very violent. You go from hauling ass, to no power, back to full power after the shift to 2nd. It is like being on a boat or jet ski and letting of the throttle and then immediately getting back in it but multiplied by 100!!!

That would be nice if you could capture it. It tends to happen when I romp on it from a red light...

Same, usually happens to me from a dead stop. It’s almost like the transmission couldn’t keep up with the engine because it reved to fast. Kinda like the transmission was asleep.
Again 1.04 hasn’t done it to me yet.
I’m wondering if your 4.88’s might be the variable. Perhaps a custom tune is in order for you.

I'm all about a custom tune. I have had a custom tune on every vehicle I have owned. Had a wicked powerful 09 Cobalt SS sedan. 430 ft lbs trq at the flywheel in a front wheel drive that weighs 2900lbs is a crazy kind of scary...

Can confirm. Lol I had a 448whp/426wtq speed3 on 91oct at 26psi. Never dyno'd it on the 29psi/33% e85 tune. Special kind of exhilarating fear for sure lol
