ANOTHER 2"??? Holy shit man. King says not to put more than 1" of preload on the springs. Sounds like they were not set up correctly.

2" of lift, not preload. If the collar is supposed to be near the top for zero lift, then I'm thinking I could've mounted them out of the box and been good. I assumed I was coming from zero lift.

Ahhh, yeah, with 600lb springs, near the top is about factory height.

the photo I posted of my before was after we rebuilt mine. It was only about a half turn or so to apply some pressure to the coils.

Going to wrap the cold side piping? You may be better off with that gold foil. The wrap might keep heat in. The foil will just reflect heat from absorbing.

Plus it looks race car AF.

Good question. I think I tapped right into the dimmer switch. That or if you have a clock, you can tap into that.

huh, I hadn't heard of this before...think I'll give this a shot myself. I've always thought the supercharger was underwhelming under 3k RPMs and my truck is screaming at anything over that (I've also never driven this truck without the supercharger so I don't have a fair comparison). I never expected it to blow the doors off of anything but in first gear it really feels slow as hell, I think that might have a lot to do with my stock gearing and added weight on the truck though.

Little nervous about the fuel issue you mentioned with doing this, but I have the upgraded pump with the 7th injector so I don't think it will be a problem. Guess I can always glue the brass fitting back on if I need to.

I've done a mod or two
I find it more than a little funny that I order a part for an Alpine supercharger from LCE and the box that arrived was drop shipped from Magnuson... Haha

I was going to take a look at mine today as well as rotate some times but it's too damn cold today to be messing around under the truck. If it's decent tomorrow I'll take a look at them.

@mechanicjon question, did you get play just by lifting the tire like @lukester78 did or did you have to use a pri-bar to get play?

should use the pry bar method ideally, that'll show you if you have some play...if you find play by moving the tire then they're really bad. Plus I think play in the tires can also be indicative of a bad wheel bearing too unless I'm mistaken.
