Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Why are so many guys going WOT with a Tacoma?
If you are daily driving is it really necessary unless you are passing?

Are you driving like a spoiled 16yr old girl amongst other drivers (selfish a little?)

Just seems we shouldn't be critiquing the tune based on WOT...

Agreed lol I do go wot off road through the desert though. Very fun kicking the back end out and blasting through the desert at 60+ mph

I go WOT because I want to and it's fun every now and then. The fact is, I am getting a cut out at WOT on the 1-2 upshift. It did not do these in previous tunes versions. Everyone has their cup of tea, mine just happens to be all out performance whether is be WOT pulls to accelerate myself after a long day, mess with someone at a red light, low speed crawl in a dirt road ditch, etc... to each their own

 

I think I need to get around to upgrading my suspension...

...also need a desert...

 

Just hope you consider other drivers on the road. Alot of accidents happen from "playing" with other drivers. I have lost friends to other drivers screwing around...might consider a new perspective. Nobody is a "PRO" driver on the road because the road is unpredictable..a track or desert dirt road is alot more predictable, but yes...to each their own...

 

I've got to find a new spot for tearing through the dirt. Construction has progressed quite a bit where I usually go/went

I don't think my truck has touched 6th since tuning, everything about this tune is great except cruising 65 on the highway it's screaming in 5th. I'll pay more attention to it tonight when I get back on the parkway.

 

Just don't dig yourself a hole lol or if you do, have a way to get out

 

I use Wide open throttle every time I get in the truck. I also live on hills at altitude and drive between 5000 feet and 1000 feet altitude. Our fuel here is 10% ethanol. The trucks gutless compared to about 35 of the 45 vehicles i’ve owned. I will be. Buying a 911 as a Daily to remedy this. Lower gears helped. Forced induction could fix it.

If its screaming at 65, its definitely in 4th or 3rd not 5th.

I've got 4 maxtrax that I still need to break in. I bought them and still havent gotten stuck. which I guess I'm ok with.

 

I would also like to know what you all do for a living if you guys are talking about buying porches and turbo kits... I'm just a humble pipefitter...
