Absolutely, there are a lot of scenarios they're great for. Wheeling in groups where 4-5 vehicles can run over the same tracks instead of resetting winches or snatch strapping 4 trucks thru the same spot is a big advantage to them. Could go from a 5-10 minute pass thru an area to more than an hour. This is huge for making it to camp, conserving fuel, limiting the risk of injury in the middle of no where, just to name a few. If those work out for Lloyd, I'll probably go for them, if not I'll get something pricier but they're definitely a tool I want to have.

Every time I look at this, I see more shit I'm amazed at. But right now, I am wondering about the brakes on the axles. Are those brakes for the diffs and/or driveshafts?

Rockwell axles. They are pinion brakes. Less parts to worry about and way more leverage so they are not effective with huge tires. but if you blow the diff (unlikely with those axles but it can happen) now you have no brakes so you better hope the breakage occurs on flat ground.

Oooh didn't even notice a lack of brakes. Does make sense then. With all that flex and twisting, lines would be a headache.
Similar to how I was wondering about the driveshafts. There would definitely need to be work done to have them work.

Hmmm so it's a compromise. Seems worth it overall for a rig like that.

Yea they hold up to anything short of a blown big block and even then you gotta try pretty hard to damage anything

    Right?

I have a bent gussetted spindle. Maybe I should just replace it with Rockwells.
