I just got a Garmin Fortrex 401, I figured it would work almost the same way. Let me know how you like it.

I use my mini ipad with leadnav but the battery die fast. I even install 2.1 amp usb socket in my truck to charge my ipad, but I just don't have the peace of mind. I was getting one regardless then the GB showed up.

 

The SOS feature is exactly why I went with the Fortrex 601 too. Piece of mind when I go to Zion and off trail there when I come back home. Besides having a jump master settings, I'm planning on getting into skydiving when I come home. Figured since I rig cargo parachutes in the military I would give skydiving a go on the civilian side lol

 

I havent gotten around to try it out yet but thats is the plan for sure. I'll ask some of the task force guys I work with how to use it. I'm sure YouTube goes a long way too, lol. Cant wait to come home and finally have a modified rig.

I wouldn't be that surprised. I've gotten a few PMs from a guy who couldn't figure it out. Sent me 2 blank PMs and then 2 more that were identical because he wasn't sure how to get back to it. Some people aren't as forum efficient as the rest of us.

 

Haven't had that issue on here, but things can get a bit annoying on CL.
