Debating if I should buy or build a gantry crane setup. The purpose would be to get the RTT up and down from the truck - unfortunately I rarely have people to help me with getting it loaded and unloaded (I still need to figure out a way to get it into the house alone....). It's a bit overkill but I don't think getting the tent up on top of the truck would be an easy task with two people if I could get help.

    thoughts?

You can't lift it from the rafters/trusses in the garage and just store it in situ?

I drove all over berkshire county for a few weeks last year with no plates on my utility trailer. Risky, but it can work if you are lucky

I'm not entirely sure--haven't really seen a car seat in a while to remember how big they are. I'm 5'10" and this is with the driver's and passenger's seats in a comfortable position for me:

I am not 100%, but I know in the supercrew you can fit 3 kids seats, there is a thread on the forum and pics of it. I am guessing you can fit them in the others. The difference is size in floor space more than the actual seats I think. Also, you can fit them behind you at 5'10, the insides of the new fords are great and huge, you will feel small in there.

@Dgibson529 If you have a new vehicle in MA with proof of sale or whatever I am 99% sure you have 7 days to register and title it.

I wish - I already did the math and the house being centered on the property - the garage wouldn't fit and would be a super small 1 car garage. Not worth it for a rental property - maybe when I move out and buy a single family but for now I need to improvise.

I really like the SuperCab. Once you get past the opening one door to open another annoyance, the lack of a B pillar is nice for loading things and Ford made the floor flat which also helps. I don't get the 170° thing--I can't think of a reason that would be useful, but there's a stop at 90 anyway. Being honest, though, it's probably more of a single guy truck than a family truck. With people, the suicide doors become less convenient.

This is a big truck, no doubt about it. You tower over just about everything on the road and the passenger is far away from you with how big the center console is.

Visibility is surprisingly good, though. The stepped window helps quite a bit and the mirrors are great. The little convex piece pretty much eliminates the blind spot.

I'm definitely happy with this truck so far. It's comfortable, has a lot of nice features, and boy is that 2.7 a fun engine.

Groceries. The 170 degree open on the rear door is super convenient at the grocery store, so you don't have to play musical doors to load groceries into the back seat if somebody's parked beside you

Ah, I never park next to anyone, and I park so far away from stores that nobody parks next to me.

It irritates people if I drive to a store with someone, but I figure I'd rather spend the extra 30 seconds walking than driving through the parking lot.

Ya that was what @Blais03 was saying as well but I thought that only applied to vehicles and really only pertaining to inspection not trailers though.

That's all well and good, but I can park on the far end of the parking lot with nobody around me, and when I come back to the truck there's some dingus who's pulled in right next to me.

Usually its 7 days to title/register, then 7 days after that day til you need it inspected, but trailers don't need inspection stickers
