Yea, depending on where you are you always run the risk of being hassled here in Md. Mostly county and country cops though with a lot of time on their hands. They all carry a light meter.

To be honest, I recently saw a SR Tacoma or maybe it was a SR5, and none of the windows were tinted. Not even the back. I actually liked it. I would run with that and not get them tinted at all. But to have the back doors tinted and not the fronts, to me looks off. We spend some time at the beach too and it comes in handy in the sun.

But I did like that Tacoma with no tint at all. Very very clean looking. So unique.

Damn, sorry to hear that. :(

So now the question is, get the damage repaired or take a ball-peen hammer and finish the job so it looks intentional. ;)
Sorry, just an attempt at a little light humor. That really sucks about the truck though.

Damn, 5% is like Limo tint! I mean, literally Limo tint! That has to be hard as hell to see out of at night in the rain! I struggle sometimes with the 20% on the car. The truck is 30%. 5% OMG that has to look so good though!

huge difference. feels closer to stock. the frame no longer rests on the Sumos, there's about a 1/2" of clearance now, so bumps and turns aren't as harsh. haven't been able to test it with a load yet.

Alu-cab shadow awning. Correct no legs. There is one that holds into the main support but not needed at all as the arms are super sturdy. You can see here how burly the frame/chassis is.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
That's a pretty impressive mechanism, but I think I'd want at least guy ropes at the extremes. That's a lot of sail area and looks like a sudden wind could do a lot of damage.

I could be wrong and I often am.

It comes with ropes and stakes. ropes are heavy strap and tuck into the extended arms when not in use.

Took me about an hour to install, pretty straight forward.
The only challenging part was aligning the side rails on the canister and lifting the entire thing on the truck bed.

Picked up @Mobtown Offroad sliders and skid plates from my local freight center. Plan on getting them installed tomorrow. For those of you that painted yours yourself, I plan on using rustoleum bed liner spray but was wondering, do I spray and coat EVERY part of the sliders? Or just the slider part and not the part that boxes the frame?
