I found out about this swap from D.Smith
He did this swap on his truck, I don’t think he is superchargered and he says better performance and mpg also and no lean code.
He also says it’s a direct fit into the stock air box.
You can ask him as I had to modify my setup just a bit because I have a KN setup
    and no airbox

I have a supercharged tacoma with this mod and a normally aspirated 4runner with this mod and they both are way better off with it and again it fit like stock.

OP can you post pics of the tube from different angles or provide a part number? All the tubes I see on EBay for the s60 look different from yours and the bolt orientation for the sensor appears to be different.

There are a few types available but the one you wants will look almost identical to the Tacoma one and will have the same screws
that are part of the plastic as shown.
The sensor position is the same, the double lip rubber end is what goes into the air box side.
There are plenty on eBay from 12.00 up

It was the non-turbo that was tripping me up. Thanks for the clarification.

Where did you purchase an oem MAF sensor for $20? I've only been able to find them in the $70+ unbranded denso variety.

Was thinking bout this swap again so it allows better air flow readings for ecu so ecu can be more accurate with fuel?

Must be a good reason Toyota changed maf in 99. Mileage for fleet and performance gains ? You can do this mod without having to purchase new airbox. I also like it as the maf is easier to access as compared to the 99 airbox maf placement. If you buy on ebay the maf that comes with the tube will work just fine for you.

Yes, it’s pretty obvious how much of a blockage the original tube section has.
The newer MAF sensor works much better. For my mileage to have jumped 2 miles more per gallon
for me it’s amazing just by changing out a part.
It’s a 50.00 investment, how can anyone go wrong and be able to swap in a new DESNO MAF sensor at anytime in a few minutes. Even if you got 1 more mile per gallon it would pay for its self in no time
