Wanted to possibly jump on the Daytona low-pro floor jack. Does anyone have any experience with this jack? I have a coupon I would like to use. But if it’s a piece of garbage I’ll pass.

Yes I’ve heard they are solid jacks. I’m curious to know from someone who has had experience with the Daytona floor jack on what they think of them?

If I'm not mistaken, this is the jack that Snap-On leagally brought suit against HF for doing comparisons to. Snap-On lost, and the Daytona jack is considered by some to be one of the best products to purchase from there.
I don't have one yet. With the operative word in that sentence being "yet". When my craftsman takes a sh!t, the Daytona will be at the top of my list as a replacement.

I tried the impact using the bed outlet. It spun slow and didn't break loose a lug nut after a long attempt. The nut did move a bit when retorquing. Not big deal. It is great that the inverter can be used to power higher wattage stuff with limitations.

    BUY IT.

Buy the Daytona floor jack to complete your collection.

    It really is that good.

I've owned a few floor jacks and the Daytona is by far the sturdiest with a build quality is second to none in my experience. I have never questioned it's ability.

Snap-On sued HF for IP/patent infringement regarding the Daytona floor jack. Basically stated that HF couldn't come up with a sturdy design on their own, so they had to copy Snap-On. HF countered with the allegation that IP / patent infringement wasn't possible since the SO and Dayton floor jacks were made on the same assembly line, in China. Snap-On and HF quickly settled out of court, obviously in favor of HF since the Daytona floor jack is still available for purchase.

Draw your own conclusions from that as you'd like, but it seems to me that discovery would have done far more damage to Snap-On and their "Made in USA" advertising gimmick than simply allowing HF to sell the Daytona.

Snap-off pisses me off anyway. Their warrabty is a racket, the pricing is a scheme and only some of their tools are worth the money.

Flare nut (line wrench) set is one that everyone should buy.

Snap-off was just made that their HF brand "blue point" is getting competition.

Snap on is going to price themselves out of the market unless they reverse the trend. It is to the point already where they offer nothing over the competition, except cool points for wasting money.

I just returned a 3 gallon hot dog compressor. 60 bucks...you get what you pay for. It was the loudest I've ever heard, and all the fittings leaked.

Nothing too exciting... maybe a little rust
Same, it will actually run off the 115V plug in my bed if needed too. I have aired up after wheeling a couple times with it before I got a CO2 setup, took forever but it did the trick.

Never going to happen. Also, Blue Point is a hell of a lot more expensive than HF.

Just a more affordable branding that still gets them business from the guys who don’t want to/can’t buy Snap On branded tools.

Snap On is a very different company today than it was, but they’re not going anywhere anytime soon, IMO.

You are probably right as far as Snap On not going anywhere.

Blue point is all re-branded tools, some of which are ok and some are just over priced. Many are global products, including china. That is why I called them Snap On's harbor freight, they are the lower priced (than SO) import tools.

Where SO beats the competition is accessability. That is what will keep them going. If you work for a shop, and your SO truck makes its rounds you have easy access.

Other makes, which generally offer just as good of tools.. many times at a better price and who honor their warranty better than SO are less accessable. Getting replacements, or tools from Williams, Wright, Proto, SK etc is generally a little more work.

SO makes great tools, the sticker shock is real. I just wiah they stool behind their products better in some cases.

MAC, and Blue Point are hit or miss. Before you buy anything from them you should do some research. Not that you should not make informed decisions on any tool's lol.

How do you plan to attach the cooler to the axles? Any drilling or screwing into the cooler would let air into the vacuum walls eh?

No drilling into the cooler. I plan on using lugs bolted into the T-Slotted aluminum that will line up with the deep holes in the rubber feet, then strap the cooler to the axles like I did in the mock up.

Ultimately, the idea is to have the cooler to be easily removed from the axle/ frame when not needed. All the while not making any modifications to the cooler... other than stickers.
