if you are lifting your truck i suggest going with a TRD s/c...reason being is if you are running a turbo setup and get stuck or hung up on a rock, tree trunk or other obstacles like getting stuck in a mud hole or sand...once the turbo spools up you will just be spinning your tires like crazy...at least with the TRD s/c you get gobs of torque from idle...URD makes a MK2 kit with 3 different stages which is really good...but it doesn't make as much torque in the low end...but it has tons of HP in the upper end of the power band...:D

another reason why s/c is a little better...is that it will take some of the strain off the engine and tranny during acceleration from a dead stop...

regearing will help you get back your low end torque and also regain your MPG usage of fuel...

if you have a '05-'09 tacoma you should seriously look into getting the APR X-1. with the x-1 once installed whatever performance part you install there after the x-1 will auto learn the performance part and tweak the tune by itself...you can always tune/calibrate it a little more by plugging in your laptop and doing a couple data logs; then emailing the data logs to APR, Gadget from URD, or any of the other X-1 gurus...1 more thing about the x-1 that's awesome...say if you have a s/c whether TRD or URD and you end up wanting to sell your truck and part it out...by flashing the x-1 unit you can part out your truck without having to buy another ECU...if you allow the toyota dealership to flash your stock ECU for the s/c and decide to part out the truck the ECU that was flashed by toyota cannot be left in the truck cause it cannot go back to the flash setting once its flashed...just something you might want to think about...

you just need to sit down and ask yourself in what direction are you building the truck for...if you got any other questions just post em or pm me...as far as performance...:D

good luck and let the modding begin...

I have a Fabtech 6 in lift with 325/65/18.... I love it, you can definitely slide 35 under these kits... but stay away from 35's if you decide to go with Nitto or Toyo... apparently these run wider than the other 35s... i didnt know this until after i bought the tires... i rub pretty bad, this is with major trimming and body mount chop... just wanted to give u the heads up, but i would definitely go with the supercharger if i had the money and re gearing is a good idea too. honestly i still am able to avg 16mpg in the city and about 14 in the hwy...just drive with a light foot and coast when u see a red light ahead... but welcome to TW!:D
