Mother Plastix polish will remove scratches. Just put it on a clean cotton rag and apply/remove like liquid wax.

Wish a company could produce glass ones to replace the plastic... I'd take glass shards in the eyes if it broke in a accident. Kinda feel looking at the scratches is doing the same damage....

I use Pledge on my motorcycle helmet face shield to bead up rain and ease cleaning after a dirty or buggy ride. Wondering if the simple application of Pledge to the cluster plastic with a microfiber or cotton cloth would create scratches or help to prevent scratching when dusty? Any ideas?

I've been a bit paranoid with mine since I saw this sticky and have successfully cleaned it a few times. What I have done is to lightly wipe it with a swiffer duster to get the junk off that might scratch it. Then a gentle wipe with a microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol.

My first service is coming up and I'm thinking about putting a post it on there asking them to not clean it? I will certainly take a pic of it before dropping it off.

Let me try this again, I screwed up my other post :annoyed:

I had local shop put on some xpel ultimate (clear bra) on the clear gauge cluster cover. I dropped it off, new and in the box. He used a piece of scrap material and charged me 30.00 to install it. Xpel ultimate is self healing (will fill in scratches itself) and went on clean and clear. It’s been on for several months now, no issues and no more scratches. The installer wasn’t sure if it would work, but was willing to try. He was impressed enough that he did it to his own truck, lol.

You can see the hole cut out for the dial/button switch. I am very happy with the results.

I had my cluster replaced roughly 18 months ago and have not wiped it yet. I hit it once in a while with compressed air but that does not clean it. I am still paranoid. My original was scratched as crap after I mistakenly wiped it with a fiber cloth one time. I really like that clear bra idea.

Sorry for the delayed response. No glare (at least no more than "normal" for the shiny plastic). I can honestly say it is not noticeable unless I really look for it. I am extremely happy with the results.

I'm thinking about ordering some from here, try it myself. Can order by the foot.
12″ XPEL ULTIMATE Custom Length PPF (12″x1′) is $10.99 a foot. 1 foot may be enough??

    Meguiar's Plastx?
    or
    Mother's Plastic Polish?

I'm hesitant to try it and make things worse. Want to be sure I get what worked for you.

Probably not too different. My local O'Reilly's Auto Parts carries Griot's, but I usually order online. They ship quickly. Good luck!

    a few...
Xpel is great stuff. Had installed on my headlights, fog lights and RI 30” lightbar over a year ago and can’t even tell it’s there. I’ll have to get some more when I change my cluster cheap plexiglass...

Pretty much any window tint place. If you search “clear bra installer” you should find someone local. Xpel is just a brand, but I like it for the self heal. I have it on my hood for rock chips and it prevents the yellowing of headlights.

I just wish someone would release a "screen protector" adhesive in similar material as phone screen protectors... I'm not going through all the hassle of replacing that plexiglass but damn those scratches look terrible when the light hits them!
