So I've been thinking lately about what I want to do sound wise and this is what I've come up with. Let me know what you guys think about this set-up.

PS. Since I have an 09 access cab, Toyota made the wise choice of taking out the rear speakers and replacing them with some cheapo computer speakers in the headliner , so I rear speakers won't be apart of the build (for now at least).

    Head Unit:
    Pioneer AVIC-U310BT

    Component Front Speakers:
    Alpine Type R

    Subwoofer:
    Alpine Type R 10" x1

I plan on making a custom sub box sort of like what EquinsuOcha did.

Now the main question I have is what amp(s) should I get? I plan on getting a subwoofer amp and a speaker amp, unless there are some that support both. Also, I may buy the amp install kit thing on ********* (i know, i know, so don't mention it) and use it, but they say that's only compatible with the Alpine PDX-5 which is like $359 .

I may just buy a random amp (good quality though), and pay Best Buy or a local shop some money to install it for me, but do they include all the cables and stuff, or do I have to provide for that myself? If I still have to purchase the cables, I'll fend for my myself and install it.

So whatever help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated! Also, feel free to make suggestions on anything I mentioned above, especially amps.

You might want to look at some car audio forums (diyma and caraudio) for a 5 channel amp or good 4 channel. Usually a pretty good deal on decent used stuff. If you are leaving you rear speakers stock you might as well run them of the rear channel on your deck and get a 4 channel amp (cheaper) to run your fronts and sub. Just my 2cents.

Yep a good 4 channel bridged should power the sub and run the front speakers.

I planned to run the rears off the internal amp in the HU. I'm kind of new to this type of stuff, but 4 channel amps can run both fronts and a sub?

Like I said above I'm kind of new to this, but what does bridged mean?

Channel 1 and Channel 2 can go directly to the front left and right speakers to power those. Bridge the + and - of channel 3 and channel 4 together to combine both those channels to power the sub.

So how would this amp do with these speakers and this sub? I wouldn't have any issues with these blowing or anything right? Also, could I get any other type of amp withing a reasonable budget that could power these better?

Alright how about this sub, will this work? It seems to be less RMS and about 2" less on the depth required.
