    I dont think the UNIchip changes when the ecu is in open or closed loop (I could be wrong) so it would only be leaning out the open loop portion.
    I dont know anything about them though.

    The only thing is that factoring in belt stretch, the 69.5" easily stretches what seems to be at least a half inch to an inch over a short course of time. So a fresh belt is a little annoying to put on over a already broken in belt. So maybe 69 MAY actually not be so much a bad thing for the 2.5 guys.

    I personally still have a slight struggle to get my 69.5 on the 2.5 even after a couple thousand miles. Gotta muscle it on every time.

    Possibly but the RPM belt supposedly doesnt stretch. Not my experience but from others who had installed them in cars with manual tension adjusters. They said they kept popping their hoods checking them since they were so used to having to adjust belts and they found the RPM belts didnt stretch.

    Next time you have the tensioner off try shaving the stop down like this. It will allow a little more room to install the shorter belt.

    Altitude is a huge factor for boost. Wide open exhaust headers back with only the 2.85 pulley at 4500 ft is probably about 4 psi

    That's the thing in the back of my mind that has been nagging me.

    At what point should the 69.5" belt be used? Any pulley smaller than 3.0"? 2.8"? 2.7?"

    No belt slip here either using the Dayco 69.5 poly cog v belt.

    Though I may be cheating getting additional grip with my pulley mod.

    I think it is wise to do the mod with anything smaller than 2.7. 2.85 may require a fresh belt to keep things honest or if you are adamant about using the 69.5 belt with a 2.85, you are best off doing the tensioner stop shave mod @Roostfactor has shown on here.
