    So what’s the worse that can happen if I just don’t get a recon sticker? :p also where and when do I need it? Is it only for trails? Or is it for trails and beach?

    You can’t register your car because you can’t pass a safety inspection. Those are all mando here regardless of what state you’re registered in (you can run out of state plates with a permit, which is obtained by getting a safety and registering for the safety).

    Yes. It’s not a headlight, it’s an auxiliary.

    Thanks, just need to be sure since one day they pass stuff, and the next, they don't.

    Finally got some time today to get the things I’m gonna need to hopefully pass this stupid safety and recon inspection next week. B22B366F-2B98-4739-BA30-666446E277D9.jpg

    I want sure. I seen that the inspectors aren’t all on the same page. My tires stick out a little bit so figured I’ll just put it on there to be safe and take off when I leave

    Nope just 285/70R17s but don’t wanna fail the stupid inspections. That’s a waist of $. So figured I’ll just get this stuff to be safe and eliminate all chances of failing

    Hey Kyle, @kakwvu so does that mean having a light bar is okay for passing safety check also? I remember you had mentioned to me that you would have to put some black tape over the light bar in your new bumper in order for it to pass. I was thinking of just adding a light bar behind the grill but didnt do it because I remembered what you had mentioned to me. Thanks!

    I called and talked to them and passed fine with it showing. You shouldn’t have any issues.

    Getting my alignment today and will try to get recon on friday. Just wondering if I’ll have issues with leaving my HID kit components installed with everything except bulbs, having my stock bulbs plugged in? I also have black vinyl covering my headlight turn signals, should I take them off?

    If they see any HID components, they will not pass you.

    HID’s will come out then. Hopefully my vinyl overlay will come off easily. I currently have ~1” of lift, will I need to get recon again if I adjust my coilovers higher?

    The recon sheet will only require you to check “modified” or “original”. If modified, you only need to state “lifted” or “lowered” for suspension.

    For wheels and tires, check “modified” or “original” and put down the tire size. Examples: “285/75R16” or “35x12.5R17”

    Keeping it as generic as possible will help you in the long run.

    More examples:

    Modified, cat-back exhaust;

    Modified, flares;

    etc.

    The write down your bumper heights so if you adjust the coilovers then technically yes, you need to go again but realistically, cops prolly won't check if you get pulled over.
