Not sure if you’ve worked with por15 before but that shit doesn’t like to take a topcoat outside of the window on the directions unless you really rough it up. I hit the por15 job I did with some sandpaper like the directions state if you are out of the window and did a topcoat and after proper dry time it would literally rub off in a dust like fashion on my hand.

Once had a 99 Jimmy FULLY (over)loaded heading down the hills and turns of Wisconsin Hwy 36 along the Mississippi River. Came around a blind corner to see a FLOCK of turkeys in the road. Couldn't brake fast enough. If you swerve left you hit bedrock or another car. If you swerve right, you go over the guardrail and head hundreds of feet below to your death. Birds got it. Mostly young ones... took an adult that flew right to the grill/hood and bounced off the windshield. I thought it was gonna be in my wife's lap. Scared me worse than anytime I've ever hit a deer. Felt far worse about it too. Only damage to the truck was a punched-out chunk of plastic from the grille and a tiny crease on the leading edge of the hood. We got lucky... still feel bad about those birds... and it's been about 7 years ago now. What a mess.

Found a Bestop for cheap and put it on. Kind of liking it so far. Drove from Pa to Va today in the rain and it was pretty dry in the bed. I was surprised.

Took it in for service before my warranty runs out (35,800 miles right now) and picked up this TRD 4x4 Offroad loaner.loaner.jpg Have to say its definitely nicer than my SR 15 prerunner but not sure i could ever get used to the Boston Terrier front end.

Got my taco sauce decal on and decided to do a cam lock as a little added measure of security.

Hooked up to my camper on Thursday and towed it over 400 miles round trip for my wife's 45th annual family reunion. Just got back and unhooked it. The return trip the torque app said 25.0 mpg avg at 70 mph most of the way. The truck used just over 1/2 tank of fuel 20180416_075821.jpg Screenshot_20180416-170208.jpg

That's nice, do you have a 30 gallon tank cause 25mpg for 400 miles is 16 gallons. I thought our tanks were 21 gallons. I hit the 1/4 mark ~ 14 gallons.

I fueled up before the return trip. When I fuel next I'll check the mileage more accurate. Having a good tail wind and more down hill sections helped. My tablet died on the way there so I couldn't check it.

Got the Apple CarPlay (Sony XAV-AX100) fully plumbed with USB port via a 2009+ lower panel (truck is an ‘07) and backup cam (camerasource’s kit with the pop and lock). Have seat heater controls next to the USB port in the center, just waiting for the wet okoles to finish the install.

    Quite a lot!
Did a few things this afternoon now that the weather is nice here in Steamboat Springs (The Boat), CO.
FIRST was the sPOD SE source module. I have to say it was extremely easy to install and even easier to hook up my accessories. I love the touch screen and especially the Bluetooth option. I highly recommend.
    IMG_8399.jpg

Then SECOND I installed the sPOD LCD Touch Screen to the right side of the tray. Leaving space to still use the tray while not being in the way of anything else. Works well at night not shinning me in the face because it is out of my line of site.
    IMG_8396.jpg
    IMG_8397.jpg

The FINAL install today was the Ram Mount in the grab bar. This will come in handy on my overland trip to Denali, AK. Thanks to all people who post info on this mod!
