lol mods advantages... if anyone could lock his own thread before the shit show it could calm things down more often lol
have to say that it looks kinda cool and would like to try one. The only thing is you can't really move inside of this. Can't change clothes or just chill inside in case of a rainy morning

haha so true! I thought it was pretty funny that he got upset enough to lock it. I was just poking fun, and figured he could take it.
That's why I wouldn't want one these. A little 3 person tent and a walmart cot is less than half price, and provides a little more freedom.

I guess he took the comment too seriously about the fender, and I understand why

Wow the upsetness got escalated very quickly. Man I hope they don't step into the Lair then the ban hammer and locked thread status would be out immediately! Especially over you welding in your house and over the electrical outlet.

I like the one you linked better for the reasons everyone, including you, stated. I don't know. I'm just not into the whole idea of camping hah. My interest in it feels forced.

you feel forced because we all like it, and we all do it. You are allowed to not like it, and not practice it, but we will judge you:devil:

the sad part is that camping mostly comes with offroading, except if you offroad close to home and go back to sleep in your place each time. but it kills the "offroading week end" lol IMO that screened cot may be a good thing for you, you can even set it up in the truck bed lol. Offroad, have a good fire in the evening, sleep in that thing, wake up and repeat. bring only the basic, and rely on other's stoves and stuff to have food :rasta:

@Chux so I watched that soft shackle video you linked to. I like that way much better, in fact check out this video. This was what I watched for my first attempt. It turned out that I did not have enough rope to complete it. He uses a smaller diameter rope than I have. Even though I gave myself more rope than he does, it got eaten up very quickly. Since then, I have found a calculator that allows me to input rope size and diameter of shackle wanted. I have not tried this method again, yet. It's very similar to the one you posted, but has a couple of differences that almost make it seem easier, although I have not tried either yet.
