Thanks for the link. I will check it out.

I had the 10 series on my Silverado, and honestly' it was not that bad. Sounded great on a cold start, and almost no drone at speed. I got the muffler from AutoAnything, and had a friend of mine just do the rest. I may go that route again. Just need to make sure I get the 2.5" in and 22.5" out with some 3" black tips.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!

    Washed it? Must be nice.

We got snow yesterday and tomorrow we're scheduled for freezing rain. Winter just won't end here.

I should know this, but what wheels/tires are those? Looks great!

    (Is that a Schnauzer?)

Yep, I'm in Northern Illinois as well. A couple of more days of crappy weather, but maybe a 60 by the weekend. :fingerscrossed:

That's a very good price for a quality system considering it's blacked out and comes with the nice tips, and is a dual system too.

I definitely liked the sound when I heard yours Jim!

I grew up in Stockton and I've been through Crystal Lake more times than I can remember on our way to Wrigley or for a weekend trip to the big city.

    BRAVO!
    BRAVO!!
I'm perfectly comfortable wiring a house but when it comes to ripping into automotive wiring especially on my new Tacoma I'm like a sea duck in the Mojave desert.
    Wicked impressed. Nice job! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks! I removed the front air dam and mud flaps purely for looks. I took them off on day one before I had the tires. I can't comment on if they would rub on the mud flaps but I have no rubbing issues with this setup.

Makes sense. Seems like a pricey upgrade, but Currie does make an excellent product.

If you're running different rear stuff, does that change the front? I figured the front and rear sizes/ratios needed to be the same. I'm pretty uneducated on it though, which is probably best for my wallet.

The difference is negligible really so no need to change much in the front other than maybe a locker, but even that I am not too sure about yet. Never know where the wind might blow though.

With the added weight of an RTT, camping gear, armor, etc and some spirited off-road driving, there runs a risk of bending the factory axle housing, though on our third gens, they are bigger, thus stronger than previous generations. Nevertheless, this definitely eliminates a failure point. Pricey, that's for sure... But none of this stuff is cheap. I've just learned to accept it.

Edit, even more expensive when you do a stoptech 6 piston rear disc brake conversion with the currie axle as well... But as they say, anything worth doing is worth over doing.
