I do wish there was a regional calendar feature for events and such. Would be a helpful tool.

Mine came with longer bolts, though. One stripped because the person helping me used a damn impact gun on it to draw the leaf in...
He's no longer a "mechanic"

 

I was just using a wrench and stripped it.

The stud seemed to be very soft metal.
OEM stud was about 1/2” too short.

 

I'm not saying they won't work, they will, but just keep in mind the steel on the center pins is typically a little better grade.

Hope it works. What about a socket head cap screw?

 

It's been in there about a year now. Grade 8 bolt I believe. Leaf pack didn't move when I did the u bolt flip either.

 

Still kicking myself for not doing the flip when I was back there. Oh well.

Edit: But I did and took off the wheels for more room. Jack under the diff, jack stands as a "catch" under the axle tubes. That way, the weight of at least the bed kept the leafs in their place. One side at a time helps prevent axle movement as well.

 

Fastenal’s heads were all too big.

 

I agree, just have to modify my superbump brackets to work with new plates or order new flip type plates for superbumps. All things are doable.

I would likely do the same.

 

My truck is up on jack stands so I drove my Malibu to work.
I stopped and tried to trade it for a 1st gen that had been rolled, plus I wanted 1k.

No dice.

I guess it’s worth it for them to ship it to Mexico and sell it there
