They are great if you have issues with johnson's service. I had aftermarket icons on my truck and they rebuilt them for me in exchange for the gear to do it. So I ended up saving money and now they can rebuild aftermarket shocks...something no other dealer around here will do. At least from my experience, I even had trouble finding off road shops to that would do it anywhere close.

I had the cloth heated seats too and they are great, I'm not knocking them. I also have 5 dogs though and it's a lot easier to clean the clazzio covers. Also, the seat heat works just fine with the covers on, it just takes a little longer to start feeling hot. Anyways, its obviously a personal choice and if you are happy with your truck, I'm happy with your truck!

Sounds like a grounding/ shorting issue. Where you would even start to diagnose it is another issue....

Since we're talking smiles per mile.
My F250XLT crew cab 8' bed would return a solid 9mpg. But I did drive it like a sports car.
So I bought a high mileage commuter - Prius, but alas it's only giving me 40 mpg. But turns out they can be driven as a sports car too. LOL.

Wow. That's quite a temper tantrum.

Out of curiosity, was/is it an MDS truck?

I did get to hear it on a cold start yesterday, love the noise it makes. Revving, it's quieter in the cabin than the 5.0 which sort of surprised me. Honestly, if you dress up an F-150 and make it ready to tow, it's right on par with a comparably equipped F250. The difference is, all the tow stuff is standard on the Super Duty. So with the F-150, you end up paying thousands for 'optional' tow equipment where as it's built into the base price of the F-250. It's deceiving.
Maybe that's why it was so cheap...

Does it have all of the optional goodies you were looking for?

Edit- The difference in volume is because it's a newer model; when they redesigned the Super Duty trucks they added more sound-deadening to the cabs.

What's the name of the store? I'll be going back on Saturday, I'll stop in with the new truck and the kiddos.
The only reason I made the trek out there was because of the dealer reviews online. I spoke to the father and the son, both of them were great and straight forward to deal with. It was the most painless vehicle purchase I've ever made. They seem like really good people there.
Thanks, Billy. I really hope so!
    Thanks
    On order, of course!
I'm not sure but no plans to tune it anytime soon. I'd do what I did with the F150 and wait until it's out of warranty. I plan to sell the current tuner, along with some other 'spare parts'. The tuner is older than the truck so I doubt it would work. When the time comes, I'll buy the tuner with the tune as a package deal (generally cheaper that way). If I like the way it runs when towing, I may not actually tune it. Time will tell.
