    I don't think MGS was spotting. At least his account was that they gave a much better suggestion as to how to recover and the other "spotters" wanted to do it their way. :notsure:

    But I agree. I was kind of operating under the assumption that the driver was just accepting whatever advice he got because he didn't know how to proceed. No one should attempt a recovery without the driver's/owner's permission. From the vid you could almost make the argument that since he was holding the brake down, he was trying to resist being towed because he was against proceeding further. But if he was on board with it then he's just as much to blame.

    1st gen ecofails had horrible condensation issues, and even after the repairs folks still had problems. If you must buy an F150 of that GEN, buy the 5.0, stay away from the 1st gen ecofail.
